The history of Platea - Mobiliário e decoração, Lda , can be told through the values that have guided us over the years and that continue to guide us.

We are a dedicated and experienced company specializing in custom work, whether it's changes to our own lines or the development of a new product.

Founded in 1974 by António Fernando Leal Ribeiro and Fernanda Martins Moreira, under the name "Móveis Ribeiro," they dedicated themselves exclusively to the manufacture and sale of furniture, both in Frazão, Paços de Ferreira. With their established credibility and relentless pursuit of the services they provided, they realized that expansion was the only path forward once this significant legacy was established.
The creation of a new commercial name and facilities, which occurred in the year 2000, confirmed the turning of a page and the beginning of a new era for Platea, now with a store located on one of the main access roads to the city of Paços de Ferreira, “Furniture Capital”.

PlateaHome is our online sales platform: this virtual store guarantees the quality of our products and service.

We sell to the national and international markets with a frequent presence in countries such as France, Switzerland, Spain, Luxembourg, Angola and Mozambique, among others.
